Synthesis and Analysis of (Human) Motion
Analysis and synthesis of (human) motion have a substantial number of applications. They can help to enhance the efficiency of medical rehabilitation, to shorten the development phase of industrial products and to generate realistic animations for movies. Based on physics, it is possible to simulate motions (forward dynamics) as well as to analyze forces of a given motion (inverse dynamics). Moreover - based on a set of given motions - new motions can be generated and compared. Another active topic is the reconstruction of motions based on very few sensors.
